Having people to help out at events is crucial, whether you have a couple of hours to help out at a BBQ, carry a bucket at the Christmas Parade or help Waxing at Waxin for Jackson. We hold many events throughout the calendar year and always welcome new people to come along and join the crew in blue.

We hold monthly meetings, or fortnightly leading up to our annual events, although formal these meetings are also fun. There is usually a job or two delegated to each committee member between meetings, and attendance at events where possible, so only a few hours each month is needed. We are all busy family people and understand time is precious, so we all and spread the workload and help where we can.

At times the families we help are so busy dealing with the situation they are in, it’s the small things that make a difference, like not having to worry about cooking meals. You don’t need to be a Master Chef to help here, just make an extra portion when cooking your own dinner and freeze it. Or if you have an abundance of garden produce, make something hearty and healthy, and we can give you a drop off location or come and collect if needed. Remember every little bit helps.

This makes a massive difference to families that have members staying out of town for treatments, their lawns get neglected, their housework suffers, maybe they need their dog walked or pets fed. If you are interested in helping out in this respect, please contact us and we will look at putting you in touch with somebody in your community that you can help out.

If you have spare time or a special skill that could be of assistance to any of our families, please contact us. We would love to talk and find out how you would like to help the Little Fighters Trust.
